ABOUT THE LAB:

The research in the PET Neuroimaging Biomarker lab focuses on the develop, characterization and translation of molecular imaging techniques to monitor disease progression in Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias and neurodegeneration. This includes the preclinical investigation of novel PET radiotracers to determine in vivo imaging characteristics and pharmacokinetics. PET imaging methods are then designed for translation into human populations to optimize detection sensitivity for studying neuropathology related to dementia in large NIH-funded projects. Our research includes studies  neurotypical and neurodiverse populations that are aligned with the mission of the Waisman Center and dedicated to advancing knowledge about human development, developmental disabilities and neurodegenerative diseases throughout the life course.
